Guided Elk Hunts

We are very serious about hunting and work hard to give you a top quality hunt. We have a very good reputation which we can have you verify through many different references. We have always had a very high repeat clientele average and we have many hunters who have hunted with us for many years.

We hunt archery in September, rifle in October, and rifle cow in November.

We hunt from remote tent camps, on horseback. We try to run one of the best western-style classic hunts, filled with all the atmosphere of the rocky mountain west.

You will find that the process is as important as the outcome. We work very hard to try and get every hunter an elk. Our elk herd is reputed as being one of the best in the country. The earliest documentation of this area being a great area is way back to 1836 (see hunt history).

As for hunter success rates, we seem to always have very good success rates, but we have seen more than a few hunters blow an easy shot. Even if you have hunted whitetails most your life, buck fever gets hold when you see a trophy bull elk standing 75 yards away. The guys who miss are usually the ones who say it could never happen to them. We have seen it all and are forgiving if you miss too. We view our job as instruction as well as guiding. We are here to help you become successful. You should never feel intimidated joining one of our camps.

Tim Singewald is the Outfitter and Guide for Bridger Wilderness Outfitters. He has traveled the country many times lecturing on elk hunting. He has talked with thousands of hunters and learned much about their hopes, expectations, successes and disappointments. He has designed booklets with helpful hints and pointers that we share with our hunters. He currently has 4 Shows running on TV.

When you book your hunt with us you will see that we work hard form the start trying to prepare you for your hunt. We send you a Hunt Booklet to help you start planning and then midsummer we follow that up with a Pre-Hunt Booklet. These booklets contain a lot of information on how to get in shape, what to pack, how to sight in your rifle, what happens when you are shooting up or downhill...

When you arrive at our ranch we have you shoot at our 200 yard rifle range. We go over different scenarios on what can happen during the hunt and how to react. You will find us to be quite knowledgeable and helpful.

We need to attract new hunters each year. We hope to attract hunters with good hunting ethics. We do not mind a drink after dinner, but we are not a party camp. We are serious about giving you the best chance possible at fulfilling your western elk hunt dreams.

Archery Season opens September 1st.

Rifle Season opens October 1st

Father / Son hunts begin November 1st

Give us a call today, we are always excited to speak with new clients.
