Guide School Schedule and Costs

The cost of the Apprenticeship program is $3,875.00 + tax.    If you would like help in financing this, "Student Loans" are available but these are limited and you will need to apply for them.  We can sometimes finance up to $1,000.00 and we ask the student to put up something of value as collateral.  We require a deposit of $1,100.00 to confirm your reservation. This deposit allows us to send you the Home Study package. Call me to discuss this in more detail.  Click here to review curriculum.

2010 Class Schedule: Class size of 12

May 24, 2010  through  June 19, 2010  -  10 spots available

June 28, 2010  through  July  24, 2010  -  10 spots available

Upon completion of the course and acceptance as a guide in training, starting salary will run $1,000.00 per month for the first season unless you can qualify for an elevated position.   Room and board are supplied at no additional charge. The food is usually the same as served to guests - semi gourmet.  You're going to love the food!

We also allow staff to save up days off so they can get 3 or 4 days off in a row to better explore some of our great surrounding Wyoming attractions.

Tips are received throughout the season and are a big part of your compensation.  These are distributed at the end of each season to those who fullfill the terms of their work agreement. In past years, employees have earned more in tips than they did in salary.

Note:  If you get into this Apprenticeship program you will not get rich in your first year but you will get a great adventure the memories that will reward you for the rest of your life.  I have tried to design this program so you will do better than break even financially your first year.  All of your room and board are covered.  The big thing about this course is the great opportunity to learn all of the things taught in this course and to have one unbelievable summer.
